Problem: Like many Indie Hackers, we struggled to find a landing page builder that suited our development style. Solution: Why not create a landing page builder for ourselves, and help out Indie Hackers along the way 馃殌

January 27, 2021 Finally open source 馃憪

everypage has always promised to be open source and today we are finally delivering on this 馃拑馃暫

https://github.com/kibalabs/everypage

Go ahead and give it a 猸愶笍, we'd really appreciate it :)

This is a huge deal both for us and website builders in general. One of the biggest reasons we built everypage is that most other website builders (wix, squarespace etc) try to "lock you in". Whilst you can export raw html, css and js, they know this isn't really a very valuable feature cos if were comfortable with those you would use them anyway!

By open sourcing everypage's engine, you're now able to build websites with our visual editor and then choose to deploy them entirely yourself. You can even build your own custom components, embed them in everypage, deploy your own site and never even tell us!

So far everypage has been very developer focussed. Our focus in the coming months will be on making everypage more usable for non-technical users e.g. by creating more themes that you can use "out of the box". We'd love to hear if there are any interesting use cases you have that we could support 馃憖

January 20, 2021 Massively increased editor performance 馃殌馃殌

Hey, it's been a while since we updated you on everypage. We've been working consistently on improving the experience for existing users so far and today we have a big update - the editor is much faster!

We've also added a few more sections for sites to use and updated the theming to be even more consistent across sections on your site.

I'd love for people to try it out at https://console.everypagehq.com/canvas

If you'd like help with it just reach out 馃憣

November 6, 2020 Started open-sourcing with react component library

We've started to make good on our promise to build everypage to be fully open source so you are never locked in to your landing page provider. The first step on this journey was to open source our component library. It works with React and is called UI-React for now, simply because I couldn't think of anything more creative: https://github.com/kibalabs/ui-react

If you use react I'd love to get your feedback on it. I'm also offering technical help to anyone using the library to build a product.

If you have a github account, we'd really appreciate a 馃専

August 21, 2020 Beta feedback 鉂わ笍

We've received lots of great feedback through our surveys, 1:1 calls and emails. This has really helped us to update our product before sharing with a wider audience. Here is a snippet from one of our first users!

"As a developer, I work with JSON daily, and I actually had fun building my landing page. If you need a landing page but don't want to do it, this is a perfect solution."

July 16, 2020 Our first paying user

We've spent the last month speaking with potential users and now we have our first paying user!
Since launching our MVP last month, we've had lots of wonderful users creating and publishing sites. I've really enjoyed the 1:1 calls and feedback emails and it's hard to put into words the incredible feeling of seeing new sign ups when I wake up or receiving validation on our current and upcoming features 鉂わ笍
Recently I shared everypage with someone I met on meetcafecito.com and he loved the features and tiers we have to offer. At our MVP stage, we weren't expecting to sign up paid users so quickly but we're so excited to get our first paying user! We've been speaking with him regularly on calls and emails to ensure he gets an exceptional service for his landing page and he has really helped us to clarify our messaging and offering.
We're looking forward to helping many more users!

June 13, 2020 First customer conversation

I woke up today to an email from a potential everypage customer 馃拑!! It was super surprising because we haven't yet finished building our MVP - we had planned to release it in the coming week so not far off - so we hadn't started reaching out to people in full force just yet.

I immediately emailed back to help him get onboarded. He has now got his site just about set up in everypage, and we're very excited for it to be published!

Some very positive things that came out of the email were that he was pleasantly surprised by the low pricing, the ease of use and the much shorter delivery date than he expected. Hopefully we can extend this delight to many more beta users this month 馃殌

May 14, 2020 Reaching out for users

We used everypage to build a landing page for everysize and this generated good interest - 33 people signed up to everypage! We've since been in touch with our subscribers on our SSMVP version (super simple MVP 馃槣) and we're looking for more users in preparation for our beta release, feel free to get in touch if you're interested.
