Sent an email out on Monday to the list about participating in a closed Alpha. Out of 1,600 emails, I'm almost to a 100 opt-ins. Open rate on the email was significantly low (currently 23%) compared to emails I've sent on Wednesdays and Thursdays (usually ~45%). It's a blessing in disguise honestly. I usually get a handful of excited responses from update emails and didn't expect this to be vastly different. Now I'm worried I have too many people. Considering capping the number of participants in order to focus on quality feedback. But maybe lots of feedback is more important right now? Guess I'll have to make a decision soon.
