Launch day was a success. I had plenty of visitors, and managed to pull in a few free users. I've since revised my landing page, hopefully to increase conversions, and begun working on two new features (at different stages):
- Currently in planning, the digest feature will allow you to group subscriptions together and receive their updates with different properties, such as custom times, different frequencies (hourly vs. daily) and even more advanced features that help with productivity.
- The next feature is called filters, and it's exactly what it sounds like. These will start as a simple whitelist/blacklist, but also 'branch' out into conditional logic, allowing you to setup complex rules, allowing you to choose what does (or doesn't) get sent to your inbox. Think Zapier for your feeds.
My end goal with digests & filters is to be easily shareable. I plan to create customised landing pages depending on where I'm sharing the content. For example, my next "Show HN" on Hacker News will have several pre-made filters for getting updates from HN. I think this will help massively increase conversions.
