Because I think most file upload solutions don't cut it visually and it's time for a file upload plugin that brings something new to the table.
Yay! FilePond crossed the 8,000 stars mark on GitHub.
It's been around 1.5 years since its launch and it's still going strong.
From a commercial point of view FilePond has been a great way to get developers to try Doka Image Editor. So I'm fully committed to make FilePond even better. I'm hoping to add drag and drop in the near future to make it even more versatile.

To monetise FilePond I've launched the image edit plugin which should make it easier to edit images added to FilePond.
The image edit plugin will eventually transition in a stand alone editor but for now I need to test if there is market for this plugin.
