Filma is a beautiful, easy and fast video editor for everyone. It allows you to create professional-looking videos without spending hours in front of your computer thanks to its intuitive and user-friendly interface.
We just published our new rebranded and redesigned website.
Following the rebrand that we applied to Filma in the past August, Filma's website is now more sleek and harmonious with the new brand.
We have taken advantage of this momentum to add a Blog and some more sections like our Style Guides or our Version change log!
Really happy with the final results!
Today is another milestone day as we have incorporated German to the supported languages.
With this addition, Filma is now supporting English, Spanish and German.
We are really excited to be able to say Hallo to our community and hoping to keep increasing our supported languages in a near future!
During last year, we've been working really hard to get several big initiatives deployed in Filma (Fly, presets, rebranding, smoother experience and full support for desktop among many others).
With all of that, we have seen a steady organic growth despite of not using marketing at all.
Is it time to scale up? Let's see what's next for Filma!
Filma has reach 10.000 downloads since its first launch. This has been much more accelerated since in January 2021 we added Mac and iPhone support to the existing and initial only iPad support.
Interesting fact is that now more than half of the users are either on Mac or iPhone.
Next goal: 100k? 🙌
Filma adds more flexibility to get access to the Premium Plans with 2 subscriptions (monthly and yearly). With these additions, we have available 3 methods to be a Premium User that unlocks plenty of features:
- One time purchase
- Monthly subscription
- Yearly subscription
Filma launches in PH featuring the new 2 platforms added to the initial one. Adapted now to iPhone and Mac, the users have been triplicated and the feedback has been tremendously positive.
After another year of solo coding Filma has a huge collection of advanced features and offers a tailored experience to each of the 3 platforms to keep on the "make editing fast and easy" goal that Filma has always had.
After a year of coding, chunking in features, improving, listening to the early users and getting as much feedback as possible I decided to launch Filma in Product Hunt becoming 2nd Product of the day on its launched and getting a huge exposure out there!
After 3 months of full dedication to this side project and with the aim to start editing my own videos I realised that I had a very solid project to share with others so they could get the benefits that I was already having on my editions thanks to this app.
Filma MVP was launched and I received very good feedback from it that kept me motivated to continue with this amazing journey.
I have a Youtube Channel where I record ukulele songs and make tutorials of them. I needed a pro video editing app that would let me keep my editing standards made on my laptop but on my iPad (on the go anywhere).
Since I'm an iOS dev, I decided to make my own editor for iPad that would have advanced tools and easy to use to focus on the creative process rather than the editing part.
