Just reached 10,000+ members! ๐ŸŽ‰

It was a lot of chatting with people on twitter, getting a blog post written about my app, people sharing the app with their friends, etc. But finally, I've reached that big milestone.

My next goal is to get 100 subscribers. I'm currently at 15 (since I just soft-launched subscriptions this past week), so only 85 to go! :D

Congrats! I can see a lot of potential here. GG could be come something like GoodReads for gamers. Given the growth in this space, you are definitely onto something.

That's exactly what I'm going for! Goodreads (books) and Letterboxd (movies) have been my biggest inspirations for this project :D

        What's your tech stack?

        1. 2

          Front End - React
          Mobile Apps - React Native
          Backend - Elixir/Phoenix
          DB - Postgres

A massive congrats to you :)
What do you think has worked best for you to reach this milestone?

    1. 1

Well, to be honest, the only thing I've really done is to interact with people a TON on twitter. A few times people have posted the app in places that have gotten a lot of attention. I haven't really done any marketing outside of that.

    Woohoo!
    Congratulations! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Woww!! I wish my app gets that traction once I released it!

      What are you building? ๐Ÿ™‚

        It's call chooseyourplant. https://twitter.com/chooseyourplant

        It's a houseplant marketplace.

        • A place where you can find any houseplant
        • Discover new plants
        • Buy them through affiliates
        • Recommend plants to people
        • A blog included
        • and lots of more things!

The kickoff which is the landing page is almost done.
        The MVP which includes:

        • List of the houseplants page (I introduced the info of 63, but I'm adding plants weekly!)
        • Detail of the plant (care, tips, images, etc)
        • Contact page
        • Business page
        • Affiliate page
        • Sponsors page
and a few things more, it's almost finished too.

The thing that is making me go slow is the fact that I have to search for all the information manually but, it's only once :D

It's a long term project. The idea is to have at least 500 plants or so.

Oh! Awesome I think I am actually already following you on Twitter haha

          1. 2

            haha I appreciate it!

            My activity is about:

            • mental care
            • positivism
            • thoughts
            • tech things some times
            • Products I find in indiehackers or producthunt that I like

and I want to start tweeting about my product increments in chooseyourplant

          2. 1

Finally, I released the landing page here: https://www.chooseyourplant.com/

Could you please give me some feedback ๐Ÿ™? It would mean so much to me https://www.indiehackers.com/post/would-love-to-hear-your-honest-feedback-d1efb7778e
