Solo → Team. Co-founder joined!

Huge day! I've been joined by a co-founder how's going to build Ghost Screen. His name is Mark, he shares my vision of bridging the gap between static mockups and live products with comparison software.

Together we've already reevaluated the core idea, decided on the scope for MVP and fantasized about future features.

New wave of motivation is washing over me. New challenges, new possibilities, new routines. I'll keep you guys posted (:

P.S. Now is the perfect time to sign up for updates on Ghost Screen site (https://www.ghostscreen.design). Beta access for early birds won't keep you waiting for long now.

Congrats Roman and Mark! I'm curious about your plans for monetizing Ghost, and your belief in the designer/front-end dev market's willingness and ability to pay for software like this?

Thank you for great question, Daniel! We haven't decided on the exact monetizing strategy yet, but we believe it can definitely be monetized. Reasons are:

      1. There's Flawless with one-time $35 payment which is alive for quite some years now and its team launching new products, so I assume they have an audience.
      2. I asked a few people who subscribed for updates on the site about their willingness to pay for Ghost Screen as I present it now — half of them answered $5-10 a month is ok, the other half want to try the actual thing first and then decide if it's worth it.
      3. When Mark joined me, Ghost Screen transformed into something more than just semi-transparent window. The core function of comparing is going to be much more powerful, plus we have exact features in mind that are going to grow Ghost Screen from simple tool for individuals into full-scale service for teams. And that expands the market considerably.

Congrats Roman and Mark, interesting project 🙌 I used to do it in photoshop back in the day lol, would have loved something like this.

    Best of luck!

Thank you, Andrei! Very rarely, but I still use Photoshop to count the exact number of pixels that are off... Going to solve this once and for all! :D
