Going Well Complementary Medicine

Since March of 2018, I had been kicking around startup ideas and tinkering here and there.

But on in July 2021, one year after leaving my job, I honed in on the ultimate solution to the ultimate problem that we had experienced.

A telemedicine marketplace for natural and holistic medicine. In addition to consultations with naturopathic doctors, Going Well would provide 1) lifestyle data tracking (to bring a level of transparency to the effectiveness of natural medicine), 2) support and community, and 3) fundraising tools.

Launched a lifestyle data tracking application built on Bubble.io. The idea was that people with chronic conditions can implement lifestyle strategies and track their improvement over time.

Most powerfully, they'd have the ability to see others with their same diagnosis who have opted-in, the strategies they're implementing, and the level of success they're achieving.

This MVP got 30 signups!

In the very same week that I left my finance job to work on a startup, my 23-year-old brother was dealt a crisis.

His cancer had come back, it was expected to be aggressive, and there weren't many options left for him. He could do chemotherapy, but it wasn't expected to cure him. It could perhaps extend his life in months, not years.

While I'm figuring out what startup to launch, what better problem to solve then the one placed on our door step?

That's when I found the world on naturopathic medicine and since then, we haven't looked back. We've left no stone unturned and have implemented over 30 natural and holistic therapies. My brother experienced tumor shrinkage for 8 consecutive months without any conventional therapy.

He continues his battle against osteosarcoma, but we have lots of faith, excitement, and hope that what we're doing will continue to work.
