In April, I decided to switch a subscription model (previously we were an A-la-carte model like Fiverr).
The main motivation here is that it's really painful and time consuming to make sales $15 at a time. All of our efforts to get customers need to be so much bigger
Instead we offered a subscription model so that customers could subscribe for a monthly discount.
The bonus for them: Better prices on designs, less "Checking out", they only have to make a decision once.
The bonus for us: Less work marketing, allows us to focus on serving subscription customers rather than chasing a-la-carte customers
We also added "design credits" which is what new customers are subscribing to buy. This is how we convert dollars to designs.
