I was inspired by Substack Silent Writing Hour and decided to host a live event (for the first time) on YouTube.
The idea is simple: people get together for a 1hour of coding, writing for their blogs, studying, anything they want. People can then share what they've done or hang out with others in the chat.
We have stopped for a while but we are back now. COVID-19 related. We didn't have where to record anymore. Plus, it was a good decision for us. I got back to Therapy and I am in a better head space now.
Anyway, we have a new website and we will start writing blog posts there. It was built with Hugo and using a very nice theme, PaperMod.
Yesterday we had an interesting talk with Raymond Huang about how he 'sneaked in' Shape Up methodology at Unbounce.
When I read Shape Up, of course I loved the proposals there. As a Software developer, I know how Scrum/Kanban is being used more like a compliance tool than a Product Development Strategy.
We wanted to share a couple of success stories and also start growing an audience, so we launched a podcast on spotify, google play, itunes and soundcloud!
Our first interview is with Stella, a software engineer who moved from Colombia to Vancouver and now works for Unbounce.
Stay tuned for more episodes!
