First of all, thanks for the encouragement and support you guys. Truly this community rules.
After thinking long and hard about what to do while I put Hindsights on pause, I’ve decided to do two things: 1/ work on my data viz skillset, and 2/ write a data viz blog (with a focus on tutorials & NBA analytics).
A big motivation for starting Hindsights was to democratise (patent) data.
Well, visualising it is a huge part of that, and distilling complex subject matters is something I’ve been passionate about for a while.
And working on something that I know that there is a market for (for either learning data viz or NBA analytics), I can reduce the number of variables. It will let me focus on learning skill sets like marketing without wondering if I’m working on something where there simply is no market for it!
I’m starting small and we’ll take it from there. If it’s successful, ultimately I’d like it to be a launching pad for some sort of a data visualisation based indiehacker business that’s more than a blog. But one step at a time.
