We are creating a guide to help people set goals for the next year. The guide is based on an established scientific model for measuring burnout. Users reflect on their work activities, resources and social environment with the goal to shape 2022 in a way that will keep them mentally well. .
@TaniaDiscovered and I are doing weekly reflective journaling sessions open to everyone who wants to stop-think-go. Of course, we back up our reflective journaling session with science. Wouldn't be a Human-Matter product if we didn't 😁
During the session, you get the time to think about your workstyle, learn about how to write good journaling posts, and build strategies for the future.
My co-founder is slowly re-emerging from maternity leave. We talked about our commitments to Human-Matter Labs and what we are trying to achieve. The high-level discussion soon went deep into the weeds of Restory and what to create. Tania's energy and ideas are a perfect way to start a day.
We launched our first product Restory. Restory helps individuals achieve their goals through daily tracking and weekly reflection. This combination helps people to measure progress on their goals and discover what actions and people help them lead a better life.
Restory is a 3-week program. This makes it manageable. At the end of the 3 weeks, participants received a customized handbook describing their high and lows.
Not planned from the beginning, we are also offering a resilience score to participants. This tells people how good they are dealing with events in their life.
We launched our website in August. Tania was the driving force behind this, working on the design and communicating with the web developers. I helped with feedback on what design elements work, and what the content should be.
While @TaniaDiscovered worked on the website design, I developed content for our library. The content translates scientific research into manageable and accessible articles. Unfortunately, much scientific research is behind a paywall and written in a very dense and dry way. As behavioral science is core to Human-Matter, making behavioral science research accessible is important to us.
After Tania and I participated in a Hackathon we kept in contact and decided to give it a try and work together. We shared a common interest in behavioral science and have a complementary skill set. So why not give it a go creating something together?
Initially, we spent a lot of time talking about what we want to do. We settled on the concept of a "lab" as a virtual place to experiment with ideas and products. From a scientific perspective, this seems logical for me: A lab has different projects, some succeed others fail. But all projects help people or teams lead better lives.
We make life & work simple, satisfying & stress-free. How? By exploring problems related to modern lives & applying behavioural science to solve them. We 💛experimentation, data analysis, & life hacks.
