$1,000 MRR

Moe Salih @MoeSalih

It's been just under a year since the launch of HyperCharts, and we've now achieved $1,000 MRR with over 100 Premium Subscribers, while being completely bootstrapped.

During the last few months, I've been trying paid advertising using Google Ads and a sponsored Podcast/YouTube channel. Google Ads continue to improve slowly, but right now I'm still not getting a good ROI. The sponsorship is creating more traction for money spent, so my plan is to find more relevant podcasts and youtube channels to sponsor.

I've been growing the set of companies we cover at HyperCharts to now more than 60 public companies. But I'm also working on a big new Private Financials feature based on many requests to allow anyone to visualize their company's financials privately and share those financials with investors, board directors, employees, journalists, or anyone. Still not decided on the pricing of this feature/plan but I'm hoping it'll provide us with a new larger revenue stream to accelerate growth. If you're interested in joining the pilot for this and trying out HyperCharts Private Financials and giving me some feedback, please get in touch!

Up next: $5,000 MRR 🚀

This is so cool! I'm willing to bet the private financials feature might be more profitable and valuable than the public companies data.

For the public companies, where do you get the data from?

Public company financial data comes directly from the company's financial filings. I import the data manually to our database right after it's released by the company. It's very difficult to automate this because each company formats their filings differently.

Wow, that is a lot of work. I was wondering why there aren't hundreds of companies on the site, this explains why! Thank you for replying and good luck with private financials.
