After spending a few weeks being incredibly frustrated at finding good data-science articles and feeling the need to build something myself, I got the approval to work on Implicit in my personal time.
Working for a great company is rewarding - you get to learn a lot from other smart people. On top of that it is exciting to be able to grow a small team of 4 people to around 20 people.
However, doing so also often feels like it is hard to give input on anything but in a small corner. Combining those struggles with the challenges of working in a rapidly changing field (analytics and data science), made me want to build something that could make a bigger impact.
