We're on youtube

fantasticsiur

We initially started hosting our films on vimeo but we decided it would be best to switch to youtube.
Starting today https://indiefilm.tv is on youtube.

If you like indie films, or want to support independent filmmakers you can subscribe to our youtube channel:

Vimeo sucks. I don't know why it is considered to be an "indie" alternative to youtube. Their business plans are just insane. But despite the high costs technically the service is very poor and far behind youtube (loading the vids from Europe is buggy and laggy).

Nice site by the way :)

Vimeo has better audio and video encoding and they are less strict with copyrighted content. They're also not free and not as fast.
We're planning to keep our subs-only films on vimeo and the rest of the films on our youtube channel.

"They're also not free and not as fast."
That's my main problem with them. They are not just "not free", they are super expensive but the technical quality of the service is just poor. If the load speed would be comparable to youtube, then the costs would be ok more or less. But I personally don't pay huge amounts of money for sh*t. I might create a tech video tutorial site in the future and I will not use Vimeo to host the vids but will host them on my own (DigitalOcean).

Nice! As a fellow YT'er welcome. What drove those spikes on your videos? 1.2k views? I'm also trying to grow my page so I'm curious
