Launched the MVP

Just launched the MVP of Influence Grid, a tool to help brands find TikTok influencers: https://www.influencegrid.com/.

Spent about 1 month working out how to save / update the data and building the backend, then 2 weeks building the front end. It’s super minimal at the moment, but you can search by location, topic, account size, engagement rate and average video views.

Things I’ll add next: a proper landing page, free trial/ limited features for free accounts, export to CSV, user search, categorisation of music genres.

The initial marketing focus will be on finishing the technical SEO and link building via submitting to directories / Reddit. I’ve also reached out to 1 industry journalist and he said he'll write about the site at some point this week!

Very Cool! How you got the data?

Thanks. I'm recording public profile data, I can't tell you exactly how sorry!

    Looks interesting.

One thing you could do is add an exit popup with a lead magnet (ebook, email course etc) with tips on how to use TikTok

Not everyone will be ready to sign up and look, but if you drip them information slowly should help.

Cheers, yeah once I work through some of the initial feedback/ features from this launch I will start on the content marketing proper. This feature would fit nicely into that

Update: the industry journalist wrote the article a bit quicker than I expected! Still no signups yet but a great backlink if nothing else https://www.socialmediatoday.com/news/new-app-lists-tiktok-influencers-by-engagement-topic-and-audience/568736/

Interesting I shared it with a Social Media manager friend.

For future iterations, I would suggest hiding the side menu and add a CTA to show it and also detect the user country and show him 5 top local influencers.

    Best of luck!

Thanks for sharing and the feedback 😊 On tablet / mobile the filters menu is indeed hidden. For the second point - I am thinking of changing the landing page to more of a search page with just the topic / location filters (no table), and some copy describing the product, but I also like your idea so will try that too.

        Cool - good idea 👍

Thanks! I actually used Trennd/ Exploding Topics to come up with the idea when I saw the ' nanoinfluencers' trend (described my thought process here: https://www.indiehackers.com/product/influence-grid/came-up-with-the-idea--LvUPLAduj4AkmL3Uu8Y)

Totally agree about the historical data, I really wanted to do this from the start. At the moment I have a limitation in my process for collecting the data that makes it tricky to get it at frequent intervals, so I'm going to have to leave it until I figure that out.
