Core Algorithm Boost + New Domain/Site Idea

Will Hankinson @SimianLogic

Google rolled out a core update last week. These have mostly been bad for me as a relatively young site without many backlinks, but so far this one seems like it's increased search traffic. I'm still guns-blazing on trying to grow my Twitter account and newsletter, but those are more "top-of-mind" channels compared to "i want something now" intent that comes with search. I've seen search traffic spike and recede in the past (almost as if Google is A/B testing a bunch of different results against each other), but for now I've got my fingers crossed that this traffic boost will stick!

I had an idea last night for a complementary site to IntroCave / IntroMaker and purchased a domain for it. This would largely be a static site, but I think I could get pretty cute with the effects and content. I'm going to sleep on it for a bit before I start building anything to see if I can come up with a better name.

Finally, I got a little philosophical in my latest blog post: https://introcave.com/blog/products-as-fishing-boats
