We have officially released Japanese Complete 1.0
Thanks to all our supporter subscribers and to all our new scholars. We are excited to reach this landmark and we are dedicated to delivering a complete path to fluency. Fast, efficient, digestible, and designed to rapidly train your mental model to fluency, Japanese Complete is a curriculum and learning platform designed with over forty years of advancements in language learning in mind.

is the project still running?

Yes.
We have not made any updates on Indie Hackers in a while, but the project is still under active development.
We added social language learning features where you can compose sentences visually, submit them, and have teachers add audio for them. You can also get a unique Japanese name divined / chosen for you.
The main locomotive engine the platform -- the lessons, quizzes, and interactive drawing for kanji -- are still getting new additions periodically as we close the gap between beginner and master.
Our forum is operational although in need of a facelift / theme improvement.
The first physical textbook in the Japanese Complete series covers the first 3 chapters of our online curriculum and is almost ready for publication (93% ready) with a translation in Hindi to follow.
Before the end of this year we hope to have our Android app, iOS app, and first physical textbook in the series published.
