I got feedback from multiple sources that my arbitrarily selected pricing tiers were too expensive. And I had zero paying customers to show for it. So, I just switched from monthly/yearly pricing to instead offer per-use pricing only. No more recurring membership fee, and now you just pay for what you use. I'm hoping that with the bursty nature of job openings at the typical employer, this new approach to pricing will be more palatable. We'll see! (And it's not like this is really true SaaS anyway.)
I've heard on Indie Hackers and elsewhere that re-pricing can be a total pain in the ass, especially as a company ages and you have to drag along a bunch of early customers in grandfathered pricing tiers. Fortunately, I don't have any paying customers yet, so I dodged that bullet. Whew!
I guess my advice to folks here is: If you get feedback that your pricing is amiss, or you just have an inkling that it may serve as a barrier, then: Reprice early and often.
