Joy

It took 6 weeks, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for Joy. I worked mostly on the weekends and hired a freelancer front-end developer to help me with the development. In hindsight, there were a few features I built that probably could've waited until later. But I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!

I wanted to create Joy since last December and have been noting down ideas, doing research on what can be done since then. Last month I started shaping out the product experience and understanding how can I create a simple, intuitive, and satisfying experience for the users.

To complete the product design, I basically

1. Validated the idea with 13 bibliophiles and understood how they want the product experience to be
2. Iterated on the design
3. Hired a freelancer to create the designs as per the inputs

I've read so many times that you should solve your own problem, and so last December I sat down to think about all the problems in my life.

It turned out that I had quite a few problems worth solving, and the most interesting one led me to the idea for Joy!
