Back from holiday, we'd got 1st paying customer!

Just came back from holiday (deliberately offline) to find out we got our 1st paying customer for the JumpyCat app. They got the 1 year subscription! And, better still, they did not cancel after the 2-week free trial! :)) Sooo motivating to get back to work!

So happy to get validation! Fitness apps are a super tough category to break into, especially if you want to stay ethical, and not impose specific body image on people.

Do you have any experience as a founder or user of fitness or health-related apps?

Thanks! My thinking is to leave paid ads as a last resort - fitness is a very contested category, and the big players can easily outbet indies. Focusing on creating content and engaging with users in online communities on Reddit and Facebook, but with all the spam there, sadly it seems like they are super defensive. I'm finding it difficult to even post a summary of research findings that I've blogged about (which to me is not even a soft sell!). No right answer sorry! Still figuring things out :)
