As a software dev, I have worked in a number of companies and projects that had completely nothing to poorly done/maintained docs.
Those who do either use READMEs only (which have no problem) or rely on cheap/free tools that do not really bring life to the docs in terms of team collaboration, discoverability, user experience etc.
No one really enjoys scouring Google docs files for a few tips or commands!
I knew definitely this could be done better.
So I decided to be a consultant/part time technical documentarian!
(Well to be honest, before I decided to consult, I had set out to build a perfect tool I had envisioned for great documentation, then I met a great tool that works exactly as I wanted - https://www.gitbook.com/. So I decided to consult instead :))
Here’s a simple sample of what I plan to do for a start - https://app.gitbook.com/@kakaruto/s/sampledocs/
PS: No clients yet, but I’m hopeful :)
