A podcast about SEO and the web.
Klocast exists as a way to discuss the SEO and content projects that we're working on. We've also building a community forum to discuss the podcast and answer questions about SEO, content and the web.
We published the second episode of Klocast and it's the first episode in our beginners guide series.
This episode is all about your own domain including information such as why it's dangerous to build your main platform on someone elses website.
The beginners guides are a sideline to the main Klocast podcast. If you're new to the digital world then these guides are for you.
It's taken a while to get this episode published due to very busy life commitments but it is now LIVE.
As part of building Klocast and the Kloc Labs brand we wanted a place to discuss our ideas, projects and learning which wasn't as formal or longform as a blog.
So we created community.kloclabs.com which also provides a place to discuss each episode of the podcast.
The forum runs on discourse and is integrated into the Klocast website as comments and SSO. So everytime a new episode is published, a new forum thread is automatically created ready for feedback, comments and discussion.
So if you're interested in SEO, content and the web then feel free to sign up and join in.
The first episode was a scrappy, do now or never, event - due to us both being busy with life, work and other side projects.
So there is a lot to learn and a lot to improve upon, but we shipped :)
In the first episode we talk about how Aaron’s website has grown it’s Google search presence in the last 6 months especially compared to other, more established websites.
We also talk about the hyper-local websites that Nate has been working on for his local community and what he plans doing with his local site. Plus the content promotion techniques he used to build an audience for his niche website all about worldbuilding.
