MariaDB or MYSQL, You Choose!

Simon Le Pine @Lakebed_io

We were concerned Chartbrew only ran MySQL (since confirmed that is not the case) so this seemed like a good time to confirm Lakebed runs on MYSQL as well. Chartbrew (and other data visualization tools) is the best way to show potential customers the power & value of a data lake so local data visualization is going to be key to our sales strategy.

Unfortunately MariaDB and MYSQL have different JSON functions so it took a tiny bit of research and a few changes. In a single day we have successfully setup data lakes on both MariaDB and MYSQL without any code changes or any additional work on the users part.
