As digital creators ourselves, we wanted to build an ecommerce platform dedicated to selling digital products.
Due to popular demand, we prioritized our public API and webhooks ahead of some other core features. Currently, the API is considered BETA and as such only provides read-only endpoints for all resources. In time we plan to expand that API and add CRUD endpoints for all resources.
In addition to our API rollout, you’ll also see we’ve opened up the ability to leverage webhooks. Webhooks are particularly useful for asynchronous events like when a license key is created or when a subscription expires.
This new development is going to open so many doors for other awesome things we have planned for Lemon Squeezy. Not to mention all the awesome stuff the community can now create.
FUN FACT: We've had a lot of questions about what we used for our docs site. Our marketing site is built on WordPress so it's essentially custom-built using custom post types. 🙌

We expanded our currency support from 1 currency (USD) to 95 currencies.
All customer-facing interactions will offer your currency to your customers. Behind the scenes, Lemon Squeezy processes transactions in USD which means we use real-time, market exchange rates to convert every purchase for processing.
The best part, is we do not charge any additional fees to the store owner on the conversion. We actually absorb those fees.
