I've gained around 30 users that have been using LINQ Me Up to convert SQL queries into LINQ code in the past two weeks. No conversion happened to either credits or the subscription model.
Reaching out to potential users
I reached out to developers on Reddit, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook and got inspiration for other scenario's that LINQ Me Up can be useful for.
Pricing strategy
I decided to lower the pricing a bit, as most visitors seem to be from lower-income countries. Credits are now $2 a pop, the subscription is $5.99.
Also, I increased to number of free credits after registration (advice from ChatGPT, after specifying it to be my business advisor), to gain more user engagement. I raised it to 10 but now settled for 5.
Added functionality
One of the bigger things was that last night, I shipped the functionality to convert LINQ code into a SQL query. This can be done with or without generating optimised SQL code.
Besides the functionality, this also meant that I needed to update my website texts, visuals and meta description.
Instead of a one-way conversion tool, I've now added another tool, making Linq Me Up a more versatile solution.
I might add other functionalities, but first, I'll try to get my first customer before April 1st, as I set myself to a deadline for 31th of March to keep my focus span tight.
I'll update around that date how things are going. Let me know if you work with .Net and LINQ/SQL and what kind of functionality you might like.
In the meantime: Code Hard, Ship harder 🔥
