When you're working on building your launch lists, it can be hard to figure out what motivates your subscribers. ListNinja helps you do that by identifying your subscribers with laser focus so you can market effectively.
I talked to Justin Vincent (of Nugget.one and the TechZing podcast) about my concerns, and he says he'd love to be the first customer as the product scratches an itch.
He says he has a large mailing list (a few thousand subscribers) that is very lumped together and he would gladly pay for the insights that were part of my mockups.
Early access signups are launched on BetaList. We get about 400 page views and about 80 signups over two days. The reception was much more "luke warm" than product validator.
However, I begin to ask myself "How much of this is really due to it not being useful versus inadequate marketing speak?"
I also wonder if the time of year was bad for a BetaList launch.
Idea for ListNinja Conceived
ListNinja was originally a feature inside of ProductValidator, which was actually going to be a community much like IndieHackers. However, upon discovering IndieHackers and Nugget, I figured that there were enough real communities targeting the early product hustlers.
Basically, the idea worked like this... you should be able to
Set a goal for your subscriber count, and ListNinja would track it.
Connect your mail service provider (MailChimp, Drip, etc) and it should be able to tell you who your subscribers are, and really identify demographics/topics that they're interested in
Identify potential competitors on your list
Identify people that are only on your list in order to market to you.
Basically trying to pick real target customers out from the noise.
