Running a Special Promotion

Previously I tried out a referral program, and the results were alright, but not spectacular. I will need to work on the details more before giving it another go.

In the meantime, I'm experimenting with another approach which has been showing some promise — running a special promotion. Basically I'm limiting supply to create demand, by offering my logo design service to the first 20 clients at a 50% discount for $150 (from the usual $300), which includes 3 initial concepts, the source vector files as deliverables, and as many revisions as necessary until the design meets their expectations.

I started last week, and have landed 6 projects so far using this method. I'm extending this promotion to Indie Hackers as well, so if you're interested, feel free to message me for more details. Cheers!

Hey John! Designer here. I have mixed feelings about how cheaply you are pricing your very skilled and valuable design work. You're reporting $3k a month which means you've got to be doing a minimum of 10 projects a month. That sounds like an absolute grind!

I can't really easily access your pricing through your site, but I have a proposition for you that could double your income from logo projects.

I think you should offer different levels of logo packages. A logo package is the folder of logo files you send your client at the end of the project. You could have different price points for different packages:

    • full logo in PDF and PNG
    • full logo in all colors (black, white, etc) PDF and PNG
    • Full logo, logo mark, logotype in all colors (black, white, etc) and all file types (AI, PDF, EPS, SVG, PNG, JPG)

My tool makes deluxe logo packages from your final logo file in under 5 minutes. I think you could definitely benefit from checking it out. thelogopackage.com
