Mailist was a tool I needed to manage the chaos I had with my bookmarks. As a designer, I've learned to code and built a product by myself. Now doing my best to share it with everyone :)

August 13, 2021 We want you to get through your unread bookmarks!

Personally, every day I add something to my bookmarks in Mailist to read later, when I have a free afternoon.

What about you? How often do you bookmark articles and never get back to them?

We are about to finish something amazing.

We want to help you get through your bookmarks which are still unread.

We want to use AI.

And we're gonna launch it in the coming weeks.

If you create your FREE account TODAY, we're gonna send PROMO codes to all our users.

How does it sound?

PS. Just take a look:

July 19, 2021 Mailist Monthly Update: July

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Userbase:

2,767 users [+ 2%]
1,538 subscribed to marketing emails [+ 1.04%]
πŸ₯ Usage:

204,780 links added [+ 2.86%]
1058 newsletters sent every week [+ 4.12%]
66 tags added to a link per week [+ 303%]
πŸ’΅ Financial:

$0 MRR and ~$50 of monthly recurring costs

We are heavily focused on the new feature (the big one) development, and we can see its impact on slower growth in the userbase. Fortunately, it looks like there is much more interest in the app usage as we've seen more and more links added and tagged.

That is super cool!

June 18, 2021 Mailist for Safari – Finally!

Thanks to recently released Safari Extensions, we were finally able to deliver our plugin to Safari users.

It took 15 minutes to migrate the plugin from Chrome to Safari. Thank you, Apple, for making this easy.

By using the extension, you can quickly bookmark any webpage and save it for later in your Mailist account.

We will remind you to read it later in your automatic, personalized newsletter. As always!

May 24, 2021 New feature: Mailist Notes

Big day!

Finally, we've added a new big feature: Notes.

From now on you are able to add text notes to your Mailist which you will later receive in your weekly newsletter.

Additionally, you can enrich your existing bookmark (or the one you are about to add) with a longer description, note for yourself. Maybe a summary of a bookmark and why you saved it.

Or, alternatively, Mailist can now serve as a reminder tool or a place to save your wish/shopping lists. Your call!

Nevertheless, it's free to use, so go ahead and give it a spin!

May 24, 2021 Mailist Monthly Update: May

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Userbase:

2,712 2,664 users [+ 1.80%]
1516 subscribed to marketing emails [+ 1.02%]
πŸ₯ Usage:

199,080 links added [+ 5.69%]
1016 newsletters sent every week [+ 2.11%]
20 tags added to a link per week [- 34%]
πŸ’΅ Financial:

$0 MRR and ~$50 of monthly recurring costs

Our user base is steadily growing but we've observed a big drop in the number of tags added to the links per week. On the other hand, a lot of bookmarks have been imported and this has an impact on the tagging.

In the next 2 weeks, we are releasing a major update, introducing a brand new feature. Can't wait!

April 7, 2021 Mailist Monthly Update: April

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Userbase:

2,664 users [+ 3.70%]
1489 subscribed to marketing emails [+ 0.74%]
πŸ₯ Usage:

188,359 links added [+ 5.14%]
995 newsletters sent every week [+ 1.5%]
30 tags added to a link per week
πŸ’΅ Financial:

$0 MRR and ~$50 of monthly recurring costs

When the tags feature was unlocked to everyone, we've managed to encourage our users to tag their links. In total, over 300 new tags were added to links in the last 30 days. Hopefully, we can maintain the pace in April.

We are getting closer and closer to release the next big update!

March 17, 2021 Better, cleaner email templates for the newsletter

Long story short, to support the upcoming changes we had to redesign and rebuild our existing email templates. Now the email is much cleaner but - foremost - we now fetch the saved bookmarks and parse the description from the links.

Take a look here:

March 9, 2021 Removing the paid plan and unlocking features

TLDR; We are removing the paid plan and unlocking our Pro features for free to everyone.

We've got to the point where we realized that running Mailist in the current monetization model doesn't work. That's why we decided to pivot a bit andΒ get back to the idea we had three years ago.

After asking some of our current users about the paid features, we learned that we are not giving enough value, and therefore we failed to generate the revenue which would cover the maintenance costs!

Check what you can get now for free:

February 3, 2021 2500 confirmed users

The product is growing organically for over a year now.

Except for some SEO content we did last year, we haven't made any promotion at all.

Every day we get ~3 new users.

Today, we've passed the magical number of 2500 confirmed (!) users.

In total, we have over 3000 sign-ups.
