I started writing one new article every weekday on my blog this summer, and I've managed to stick to it! Just posted the 60th article in 3 months. Super proud and happy, and looking forward to celebrating the 100th article at the end of November!
I use Google Keep to write whatever I think about throughout the day. It can be random thoughts, things people said in a conversation, stuff I've read, etc. I now have a pretty long list of ideas and concepts I can pick from!
Wow, congrats! That's some serious discipline! And from what I've seen you're not just churning out stuff, either, but writing properly useful content. 👏👏👏
I'm curious, are you working from a long-term roadmap of what to write, or are you flying by the seat of your pants, day to day, week to week? (I apologize if you've talked about this before. I discovered you only very recently.)
Thank you so much! No roadmap, but I do have a living list of ideas I can pick from every morning when I sit down to write. I wrote an article that goes a bit more into details when it comes to my writing process.
Amazing. Really high quality content, especially given it only takes you a day to produce.
Been speaking to a lot of people who are doing well - the most common trait is just being consistent on one thing. 3 months of an article every weekday (+ other commitments) is tough!
Thank you! I'm not full-time on Maker Mind, I also run a consistency business as well as an online magazine and have various other engagements. I just block an hour and a half every morning to write for Maker Mind.
Read xx. Good read. I think that the same framework is easily portable for doing almost anything. It's so simple that it might be overlooked for more complex mental models. However, it's almost all you need. I also use google keep, docs, and calendar. Keep it simple. Stay writing :)
