I've recently started work on many.tools! It's a project I've considered starting for a while now. There are a few reasons I've chosen to spend time working on this:
1.) Each "tool" can be a relatively small sub-project of it's own, which can be taken from conception to shipping in a relatively short time frame. Hopefully this will maximise my chances of shipping useable products!
2.) Many of the existing tools out there are either difficult to use, ugly or have a limited feature set. By building my own versions, I believe I can provide better alternatives to the existing options.
3.) If enough other people find these useful, then eventually I can pop a small ad on to bring in a small amount of revenue.
For the time being, I'll be focussing on tools that can run entirely on the end-users browser, so that I can deploy as a static site to Netlify and avoid any running costs.
Look out for the first tool (a simple markdown editor/preview tool) soon!
