I listen to a lot of podcasts and quite a few ask for listener questions.

Most ask you to call a number to leave a voicemail, but that can cost a lot depending on where you're calling from. This is a better alternative.

I started building memo.fm in public 31 days ago and yesterday someone upgraded to the paid plan for the first time

I'm not sure they're even using it for a podcast, but I reached out to try find out. I'm still not sure memo.fm will become a viable business, but someone paying for it this early on is a great start!

July 19, 2021 Launched on Product Hunt

27 days after I started building memo.fm in public, it's live on Product Hunt (https://www.producthunt.com/posts/memo-fm)

Slow start, but I'm hoping to et a few more upvotes to end the day at least a little bit higher on the homepage.

I've launched over 5 products on Product Hunt and still have no clue why some do way better than others!

Building in public on Twitter meant that a few people were aware of memo.fm it existed

Thanks to some friends retweeting and sharing what I was working on, a podcaster heard of memo.fm and decided to try it out right away.

Pretty happy with how quick it was for someone to find memo.fm and try it out (https://twitter.com/LouiseShanahan_/status/1412703026947801092)

June 22, 2021 Started building in public

I've had this on my "idea list" for a while and wanted to try building something in public.

I'm a big podcast fan and this project is tiny in scope, so I figured there was no reason not to try build it in public.

I've been Tweeting progress here:
