The product is ready!

What does it take to create a solid MVP? A dozen of Indie Hackers and 1 month of time ๐Ÿ˜Ž

A month ago 11 Saint Petersburg, Russia based Indie Hackers gathered together to create a product within 48 hours.

We were building MetaSuvey - the Tinder-style survey service.

Our team of 6 coders, 2 designers, and 3 marketeers worked really hard to ship the product in time.
But 48 hours was not enough. The MVP was too raw.

In particular, the dashboard on the survey generator was executed poorly. We underestimated the importance of UI/UX. As a result, or user dashboard was not understandable at all and therefore the product was not usable.

But that was not an end!
During the last month, we worked at nights after our day jobs to polish MetaSurvey and fix critical UI/UX weaknesses.

And today we are proudly presenting you the finished version of the tool!

We are eager to hear your feedback and improve the service even more.

๐Ÿ˜ Welcome! https://getmetasurvey.com/

Agree with some of the others. The UI is great! Did you design it or was their a ux/ui designer involved?

    1. 1

We have two great UI designers involved: @standiz and @SashaDiz
They are providing everything at the top-notch level: logo, social network images, product etc.

I love the idea and the UI is gorgeous!
Have you seen an uptake in users?

    Other suggestions

    • add a favicon :D
    1. 2

Hey Joey! Favicon, yeah... Thanks ๐Ÿ˜…

Have you seen an uptake in users?
Sorry, I did not understand your question. Could you please elaborate?

      1. 1

        No problemo, Alex! :)

Sorry, I meant do you have many users? It's such a useful tool I'd imagine you have some customers already! :D

        1. 2

          Oh, I see.

We have just launched. There are only 30 users and none of them are paying at the moment. We are in the middle of the feedback gathering process ๐Ÿฑ
It is still a raw product.

          1. 1

That's a fair response. I think that the tool itself will help you to improve the tool... if that makes sense :D

            Good luck!

Looks and sounds very cool!! congrats! I'm guessing the animation is the final product tinder-like survey.... The link to the example opens a traditional survey though...

The Tinder-style cards only appear on the mobiles. We will expand this UX to desktops too!

  4. 1

This is awesome. How did you guys come up with the idea? How many out of the 11 people are still actively working on the product?

    1. 1

Hey John! We had an idea validation session. We filtered over 40 ideas and come up with this :)
Currently, all 11 guys are more-or-less involved.

  5. 1

    This is really cool!

  6. 1

Who are your designers ? Profile links ?

    1. 1

Hey, Leo! It was designed by me and @standiz :)

      1. 1

        Well, you did great ^^

  7. 1

    Pretty cool!

I always think of it as a Minimum Lovable Product (MLP) - otherwise, you easily end up with something too raw.

"Build Tinder-style exit surveys to reduce churn"
Brave man, tying yourself to the assumed knowledge (and positive opinion) of Tinder like that! :)Looks good though.

    1. 1

Well, swiping cards is much more engaging and convenient than regular form. This guarantees a higher survey pass percent. We believe it will help to reduce churn ๐Ÿฑ

      1. 1

You misunderstand. It's poor copy that relies on an assumption of position.

  9. 1

    Love the UI, well done

  10. 1

Looks great. Did you test with real users yet? What was the feedback like?

    1. 2

We are testing it on users who will create surveys.

Testing surveys on visitors is a good idea. We need to think about which answers do we want to get from the testing.
