Launched a community Slack channel for privacy!

We were using Render and saw how well they were doing customer support through Slack.

So we decided to setup our own here at Metomic. A place where developers and designers can get Metomic support, suggest new products/features, and ask general questions relating to tech/design and privacy.

What we're trying to achieve:

  • Reduced number of support queries through intercom
  • Build an engaged community of users
  • Create more of a discussion around privacy and the associated tech

Thanks the inspiration @anuragg

Congratulations! Slack for users (especially developers) is always incredibly helpful early on. This was also the case with Stripe when we first launched.

Thanks! Super excited to see what comes of it. Does require a lot of time and attention in the early days

That's an excellent idea to build a community around your product as they will naturally become the product "defenders". Keeping a community active is not easy though.

Yes and getting it started is difficult too - a bit of a chicken and egg problem. But things looking positive so far :)
