November 29, 2023 Moodistory won in this year's "Google Play Best of 2023" awards

That's right, Moodistory is the winner of this year's Best of Google Play awards in the category "Best for Personal Growth" in the DE market. Creating Moodistory has been a fun journey but it also required a lot of hard work and thoughts. It's awesome to see that all of that is appreciated and recognised by the largest app marketplace in the world: Google Play. Thank you to everyone who enjoys and supports Moodistory! You rock!

May 5, 2023 Moodistory is featured on the App Store

Moodistory is currently featured on the German App Store. After way too many weeks of working on new features, tweaking code, talking to customers, eating pizza, and doing everything to push the public awareness for my app, this feels really rewarding!

December 28, 2022 Moodistory for Android released!

After more than one and a half years, today is the day! Moodistory has gone live on Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.matoph.moodistory). It's been an awesome journey from the very first steps in the Android ecosystem to a mature version of Moodistory which is ready for the public.
I am very much looking forward to what's yet to come. This very first public release is just the start of a longer path towards my aim of providing the best and mood tracker out there and making Moodistory the synonym for "mood diary".

June 1, 2022 New feature: iCloud backup

After receiving emails from users who lost their phone and were asking if there is still a way to restore their mood diary within Moodistory, I've decided to make the process of data backup much more comfortable. So now, users have the option to enable auto-backup to iCloud. This will create and upload a backup to the user's iCloud, and will also make the process of restoring much easier.
Since Moodistory takes the user's data privacy seriously, it's up to the user to enable this feature. Especially for those who prefer manual/local data backups, there's now also a backup reminder feature.

February 24, 2022 New feature: CSV Import

Today, a new update has been released adding an awesome new feature to Moodistory: the CSV Import. While it doesn't sound like a big deal, it actually is. With it, you can practically import any mood data from any other app, Google sheet, Excel sheet etc. This gives especially new user the possibility to kick-start their mood diary with existing data. No need to start from scratch - use what you already have!

September 23, 2021 Launched on Emoji Launch

A few days ago, Moodistory was approved to be launched on Emoji Launch. Today is the day - Moodistory went live with a big beautiful blue heart. Our goal is to receive 1000 upvotes - curious if we are going to make it today. You're more than welcome to stop by! :)

September 17, 2021 Full blown Apple Watch App

After receiving lots of feedback that a lot of users actually use the Apple Watch mainly to create diary entries for Moodistory we put the focus on improving the Watch app. As a result of this, today, we released a new update which will let users create mood entries with all details. Before this was limited to mood and notes - now you can even add activities/events.

March 29, 2021 Got 1000 five-star ratings on the App Store

Finally, my mood tracking app Moodistory has reached the goal of receiving more than 1000 5-star ratings on Apple's App Store. This results in a world-wide average rating of 4.7 stars. Moodistory went live on August, 1st 2018 which means it took me 2 years and 8 months to reach 1000 5-star ratings. I'm asking my users ONCE to rate my app, usually a few days after they have installed and used it. Additionally, there is a rate-button within the app that - when tapped - takes users to the App Store to rate Moodistory.

August 12, 2020 Added frequently asked feature.

Keeping track of all feedbacks helps a lot in prioritizing development. No matter which feedback I get, I add it to my feature-for-development list and categorize them. As a result, I can easily identify the most asked-for features. Today, I've added one of those features: Images. From now on, users can add images to their mood entries. This doesn't just look pretty but serves an important purpose: To better remember situations and connected emotions. It makes it easier to reflect the past.
Also, I've added support for a new language: Korean! 🇰🇷🥳
