I wanted to share that we've made the decision to make newny.io - our Live Q&A, Feedback and Insights tool - completely free to use.
It sounds crazy but we've looked at the current market conditions and thought this would be the best way to provide as much value as we can to the event organisers we work with. We want to put them first before profits.
I hope it can provide value to you, if you work with events or host group sessions.

What a day today is!
It's been a very long journey to get to the point where we have our first paying customer who converted from our trial period. Incredibly exciting and motivating thing to wake up to.
The whole thing has been self-service, this just gives us a tiny taste of what we could end up with in a year or two. A sustainable self-service / passive Startup that's generating value for our users and income for our team!

Over the past year, we鈥檝e spoken to lots of organisations that are pivoting to virtual events in 2021. From what they鈥檝e told us, their audience engagement flow looks something like this:
Google form / email - pre-event questions
Zoom/etc native Q&A
Form link for feedback
Export event questions and feedback to a spreadsheet to try to understand what on earth is going on
This flow is time consuming, inefficient and inconsistent!

We're finally ready to start prepping for our launch on the 25th of January. We'll be launching on Product Hunt. We've got all the resources ready and just working on finalising one more feature prior to launching our SLC. I'll post another milestone once we've launched on PH 馃コ.

Today we witnessed the initial fruits sprouting from our consistent blogging on our website. We ended up ranking number one (after a featured post) for 'how to host a live Q&A virtual event' -> this is an exciting start for us. We've also been working on improving our backlinks with relevant and high authority websites. New guest blogs on the way!

We've just updated our landing page and begun to re-position the product as the go-to Q&A platform. We've tried to keep it simple and not be a jack-of-all trades.
It's all about making sure the messaging is right and it speaks to the right audience that wants to hear about it. So we're now focussed on building a Waiting List for Newny.
