We have been subscribing to a lot of high-quality, long-form newsletters, but it became a challenge to actually read and learn from them.

February 20, 2021 Finished the MVP

Over the weekend, we joined the On Deck Global Build Weekend (On Deck's version of a hackathon) where we met and got matched with Kunal Modi (ex-Airbnb). By the end of the weekend, we shipped the first version of our web app and started using it ourselves.

September 26, 2020 Came up with the idea

This all started in September 2020 during a weekend trip in the Slovak mountains. We were talking about ideas that we could work on to solve something we were both experiencing in everyday life.

One thing stood out: We have been subscribing to a lot of high-quality, long-form newsletters, but it became a challenge to actually read and learn from them.

We both spend countless hours reading books, blogs, and news. And while the newsletters that arrive straight to your inbox offer a much more personal experience, once you subscribe, it’s far from ideal. They usually get lost among all the other email we receive. Plus, whatever reading apps we tried, it just wasn’t what we imagined.

We spent the following few weeks talking to people to better understand this problem and frankly, see if there’s someone else besides us looking for a better solution.
