I posted the No Code List on Hacker News as a Show HN post. I didn't expect anything and just figured I'd get a handful of clicks and then disappear into the feed.
Instead I ended up on the front page (of Show HN, not the whole site), and got lots of traffic and lots of new software submissions.
I wrote about about on IH here https://www.indiehackers.com/post/3-7k-views-and-other-numbers-from-a-show-hn-post-c1fa0187c1
At the time of that writing it was 3.7k views, but it ended up being more like 6.6k, and a large percentage of them (maybe like a third) came from the Hacker Newsletter, an unaffiliated newsletter with a large audience. They put me in their "featured" section at the top of their email, so it makes sense it drove so much traffic!
One of my favorite things about this was the comments. Lot of positivity and not much critique. Not necessarily the usual for the internet... it gave me a lot of motivation to keep pursuing this list.
