Hit over $1,000 in one month for the first time!

So I'm really excited to say I have got $1,024 in revenue this month from my blog for developers without Computer Science degrees! I have a few other deals in the pipeline so hoping to be able to report a bigger figure at the end of the month. I had some affiliate deals come through but most of the revenue came from getting a newsletter sponsor until the end of the year. This is significant because it gives me enough money for groceries and to stay indie until the end of 2019!

    Congrats!

How much do you charge for promotion: website and newsletters?

Does the money cover adverts for November and December or just for October alone?

    1. 1

It covers until end of the year but I'm super frugal so it's enough for groceries etc for 2019.

Gonna blog about your first point :)

way to go Pete! That sounds like a fun business model. How many visitors/month and how many blogs/month are you doing to warrant getting a sponsor, if you're willing to share..

    1. 2

Sure! I do 2 articles a week. Most of this money is for the rest of the year so not just for October. More info here :) www.nocsdegree.com/open

What are your next steps, Pete?

    1. 1

Good question! Get sponsored posts from bootcamps and making a community on slack as another way to keep people coming back to site and talking about the content.

Wow, thanks everyone!! Go Indie Hackers 😎

A few people have asked about sponsorship now so I'm gonna make a personal blog and write about this so I don't have to repeat myself.

    congratulations on the $2¹⁰ :)

lol, I hope that printed correctly- 2 raised to the power of 10 = 1024

    I have a quick question
How many subscribers do you have and how do you charge the sponsors? Just curious because I am working on my blog and would love to know more about you.

    1. 1

Gonna blog about this cos a few ppl asked :)

      1. 1
