Well, things went by pretty quickly!
I recently released v3.0.0 of nut.js, paired with a set of new plug-ins to locate text on screen or find Windows.
Additionally, I also released an actual add-on that extends the nut.js screen with the ability to easily run on-screen OCR.
Following this release and a pretty successful announcement on Reddit, the repo now has over 1.4k stars and more and more people are starting to sponsor my work! 馃挭

nut.js passed 1k stars on GitHub today!
Well, GitHub stars pay no bills, but nonetheless it feels like we just crossed some kind of magical boundary!
Seeing 1k stars on one of my projects is quite rewarding since I'm seeing it as a confirmation that what I'm building is actually useful and of high quality.
I recently also received quite a lot of user feedback telling me the exact same, so I'm not on the wrong track! 馃挭
Somehow I've never been truly happy with Docusaurus, so I finally sat down and spent some time on a new website.
It's based on https://github.com/amiroff/NextBook, styled with Tailwind CSS and still hosted on Netlify.
I'm pretty happy with the landing page, but the docs pages need some additional styling love!
They just keep on coming!
nut.js reached 900 stars on GitHub, so we're getting closer and closer to 1k! 馃帀
I'm also reworking nutjs.dev at the moment so make it
- easier to digest what nut.js is all about
- make structuring docs easier, though more manual
- have a nicer UI
It also looks like nut.js is mentioned in some newsletter as the website is receiving more and more traffic from mailchimp. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get the actual source...
And another one! https://console.dev/ listed nut.js in its tools section, causing 1.1k website visits in 24 hours. It also caused quite a few repository stars so it reached 800 stars and even more!
In addition, nut.js is gaining more and more traction and I鈥檓 collaborating with a few companies that want to sponsor feature development and bugfixes! 馃帀
That GitHub Release Radar feature is really kicking!
nut.js now crossed 700 GitHub stars and the monthly page-views are ever increasing!
Over 2k unique visitors on nutjs.dev and 12k total page-views, things are really going well.
You can submit your own project to be included in the GitHub Release Radar by simply opening a pull request at https://github.com/github/release-radar, a really powerful marketing tool!
Wow, this time it only took 1.5 month to gain another 100 stars.
The numbers are steadily increasing, but the feature on the GitHub release radar certainly caused a boost!
The amount of new GitHub stars and page views for a single day are going crazy!

I signed up for it just in time and I鈥檓 happy it got picked, considering all the other submissions!
I can see a definite increase in page views, so the release radar is something to keep in mind for future releases!
Wow, 2022 is really off to a great start!
The responses the the recent 2.0.0 release are great, people are liking and adopting to the latest version.
But not just that, besides the already established individual sponsors and contributors the first company stepped up and made a donation to nut.js.
Given their feedback, nut.js really hits a sweet spot, solving a particular problem really well, so I'm excited for the future!
