Started looking to build a team

At the height of the pandemic, I was trying to recruit a technical co-founder. I thought with all the layoffs I had a good chance at finding someone who lost their job and liked my idea.

Wrong assumption. Everyone was focused on getting a paycheck. NO ONE was willing to forgo pay to work on a startup when we didn't know what the effects of this pandemic would be.
