May 14, 2021 70,000 pageviews - 44k users

According to our most recent analytics, we hit 70k pageviews and 44k users. We actually haven't been writing a great deal of content but we have covered some different founders and products. We'll start moving towards more SaaS related content including boilerplate templates and landing pages to launch your product. Can't wait for the next milestone!

April 7, 2021 41,000 pageviews - 26k users

In less than a month we've grown by more than 30%. We just hit 41,000 monthly page views, 26k unique users according to Google Analytics. It seems the website's new look has increased the amount of returning viewers. Also, our newer articles are ranking on google much sooner, indicative of improved domain authority.

March 26, 2021 New Look!

Hey we wanted to give the site a more modern feel so we added some brighter colors and took away some of the shadows. This redesign was more iterative rather than a complete overhaul. We also corrected some line spacing issues. If you're using bootstrap, I encourage you to tinker with the line height of your paragraph elements. It really makes a difference.

Also, yesterday we hit 1,497 pageviews for the day- a new high for us. Here are some things that I think are helping: (1) We're being more consistent than ever before. We've had months where we've only published 2 or 3 articles. This month we published 13 articles between myself, my sister, and one of our users. (2)After checking out some growth bites on Indie Hackers, I decided to implement the newsjacking strategy. Basically you write about a trending topic before it blows up. I wrote a review on Copy AI and I was surprised to see that the article got a few clicks organically in less than a few days. We've never had that happen before and it's currently on the first page of google for "copy ai review". The funny thing is I waited a few days to publish it and I missed the opportunity to write about them before their funding announcement on techcrunch. (3) We're doing a much better job at targeting specific keywords, "copy ai review" being a good example.

Lastly, I just wanted to share some random thoughts/ideas about the site. I realized we've published a lot of content to create a SAAS. Between the web dev tutorial (no cost, no registration required) and our articles on Django and Twilio, Django and Stripe Monthly payments, and deploying on AWS; there's a good amount of content to create a SAAS if you're new to coding. However, this isn't apparent when you visit the site. So, I think I'm going to write more articles that aggregate our content together into "paths" to create different SAAS projects. The more I think about it, is there a missing link between product hunt and Indie Hackers ? Product hunt lets you show off your product and Indie Hackers is where founders can discuss and bounce ideas off one another. What about the educational resources to launch a SAAS? We've already covered plenty of topics so maybe a rebrand should follow the new look. In addition to Copy Ai, I also reviewed another Indie Hacker's site in exchange for a free trial. He appreciated the feedback. Let me know if you want me to do the same. Sorry if I'm going over too much in one post. I want to start being more transparent.

March 17, 2021 31,000 Monthly Page Views

We just hit 31,000 page views on our coding blog. We recently started monetizing the site with ads/affiliate deals. I'm looking forward to sharing our progress as we grow. Already we've learned a ton about SEO and targeting specific keywords with lower keyword difficulty. Cant wait to tell more.
