Enhance your experience on the water
As a paddler (stand up paddling) I was frustrated there were no watersports tracking Apps for me. In 2014 I was fed up with this and rather than make do with another sports app set about building my own solution!
Two years in a row. Super exciting. What is even better is that this year it was in the Sustainability category. Really validating the work we put in last year on the report. We don't do that stuff for the nominations, but I hope that being able to go back to our industry with this kind of recognition helps others on their sustainability journey!
After what has really been the culmination of years of effort. We finally got round to publishing our first Impact Report. Getting down on paper what we have been keeping in our heads for years. It wasn't easy, but there is so much more clarity now to the way we talk about our brand.

We had an awesome bit of news yesterday here at Paddle Logger! We have been Shortlisted for Most Innovative App at the Sports Tech Awards! We are particularly proud considering we are a small company of 2 people up against some huge companies and global brands.

"People who have gone before are usually happy to offer advice. I am all about asking questions and paying it forward where I can help others."

... and the realisation that the community that wanted this product was far beyond anything I had imagined. It was both global and wanting something like Paddle Logger.
After years of being a semi-successful side hustle, which was providing a nice financial boost to my career income. A change was needed, paid up front for a premium product was great but in the long run, absolutely not sustainable with the more features I wanted to build and constant de-bugging and customer service. Cut to forming a new company bringing my long-time developer and friend on board, changing the model and re-building. Revenues have initially been slashed but this is the exciting leap of trying to build back up to a more sustainable and viable long term business!
I couldn't find a good enough solution to the problem I had, simply wanting to know how far I had been Stand up Paddling. So I decided to work on a solution myself. As it turned out, a lot of other people had the same problem.
