August 2021 Relaunch

I released a brand new website, shipped a "V2" of the product, and modified the business model to be more sustainable (now with a focus on targeting web agencies). This is because I noticed that the overwhelming majority of my customers were web agencies, and they found Page Speaker uniquely useful because they can have multiple websites under one license. In other words, it enables them to offer accessibility solutions to their clients for a much cheaper price than before. So now I just have to further market it to them. 馃檭

August 23, 2021 #1 Product of the Day on SaaS Hub

So, I verified my product on SaaS Hub. At some point, after editing my profile, I went to the home page, where I was pleasantly surprised to see my product with about 40 votes, holding the #1 spot on their daily leaderboard (which I did not even know existed). I guess verifying my product somehow auto-submitted a listing to their daily ranking "competition". As of writing this, it's still #1 with 74 votes. But according to my analytics, I've only gotten five unique visitors from it. Which is a bit odd, considering that SaaS Hub is a pretty high traffic site. Will I be getting many leads from this? 馃 Only time will tell...

April 3, 2021 Began Search Engine Advertising

I'm now split testing ads on Bing and DuckDuckGo. I will be interested to see conversion rates, learn how I can optimize them, and pretest to what extent this product even scales to in the first place. Though search volume is supposedly rather low in my target niche, I guess I have a little less competition to work around.

April 3, 2021 First Customer

Someone on Product Hunt purchased a premium edition of Page Speaker! I'll probably spend the proceeds on advertising. So far, the landing page for the premium edition has a 100% conversion rate! (With only one page view and one customer of course). But it's still kind of cool.

April 3, 2021 Preparing For AppSumo Launch

I need to optimize my landing page first, though. It is now clear to me that my biggest problem (and what lead to me not being a top project on Product Hunt for today, so far) is that the demo of the toolbar isn't clear, that is, some people don't know to click in the bottom-left of the screen on the accessibility icon to try it.

April 3, 2021 Product Hunt Launch

After a couple weeks of building this as a side project, I launched it on Product Hunt. As of writing this, the product only has a few upvotes, but I just launched it so there's almost 24 hours left for it to grow. My goal is to be in the top five for the day, so I can get featured on the newsletter! Wish me luck!
