People-first digital network for entrepreneurs to share, learn and support each other in the growth of ideas and the creative ecosystem

October 11, 2020 A faster and smarter way to collaborate online

After seeing that the metrics from our previous version of PeerPull weren't what we expected, we went back to the drawing board.

We decided to focus on what seemed that our users were most passionate about: collaborating and learning from others.
For this purpose, we re-purposed our solution to encourage easier peer to peer collaboration.

Therefore, PeerPull now offers a way other founders can state what they can help with and what they need help with. Then, others can see these collaboration details and request to have a call or offer help.
To try and find a balance between asking for help and offering help, we introduced Peercoins. Quite simply, when you request for help 2 peercoins are subtracted from your digital wallet. When you offer help, 1 peercoin is added.

August 31, 2020 Another milestone for PeerPull

We have now reached 300 users and seems that after updating the website and the design slightly potential users are starting to see the value of it!
We have managed to incorporate two more features that are super relevant:

  • Ability to create your own room and hashtag classification
  • Share a link in public to invite friends too

There is still a lot of things to improve but right now, the main focus is customer acquisition and PMF

August 24, 2020 New design and main feature update

Our previous feature (1:1 matching conversation) was not as popular as we expected. Either because we were targeting the incorrect audience or the added-value perceived was not worth it, we fell short on our objectives.

Following this, the team has decided to pursue another idea by targeting the entrepreneurs that could benefit from these conversations and check-ins. After all, being a founder or creator is sometimes very hard and solitary and we all could benefit from the support of other peers around the globe.

We are now introducing the group rooms, weekly conversations around one topic to interact, chat and help each other if needed.

July 30, 2020 Reach 200 signups

It's been a long slog to get here, but PeerPull just passed 200 signups! From which 40% are our close friends and network.

We were stuck around 100 signups for a long time, but what really turned the tide for us was the official update on LinkedIn and Twitter. Now I'm just hoping that a lot of them will actively connect to other users with meetings 馃

July 11, 2020 Finished our MVP

It took 6 weeks, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for PeerPull. We worked the product so users can already tell us their availability and objective by creating a profile.

We used ReactJS, Express and GraphQL. There are a couple of features that we are thinking of adding, as for example, analytics so each user can be oriented towards the goals and find insights on the profiles he/she is meeting over the weeks.

But I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!

May 27, 2020 Came up with the idea

We realised that networking will never be the same at this point. And still many graduates and other professionals will want to network to change jobs, find new ones, etc.

There are many approaches but the one we believe makes sense is connecting those professionals based on their goals. Find an appropriate time for both of them and let the discussion flow
