After very long team discussions, we decided it was better to spend our marketing dollars by sharing the revenue with our own users rather than giving it all to the big F and the big G.

Initially, Piktostory only supported videos in English. However, we always knew we wanted to support more languages. We now support 30+ languages - from Mandarin to Finnish! Transcription can still improve, but I'm pretty happy we managed to deliver this as it will open up our market to include content creators whose main language isn't English.

It's always exciting to launch on ProductHunt. It took us 5 months to launch Piktostory 1.0 so it was amazing to have the recognition from the community. We managed to become the #2 top product of the day!

Since then, we've been getting about 300 visitors per month from the PH post. It's definitely a great channel to launch and get traction.

After almost a year working on Piktostory, we were finally able to launch in Beta version. We made a couple of mistakes along the way, but we learned from them and could proudly present Piktostory to the world. Amazingly, we got over 1000 sign ups in less than a month after launch!
