October 29, 2020 From 0 to integrations, in 5 minutes

Today is a special day for Pizzly. We're live on Product Hunt ๐Ÿš€.

I strongly believe that being an open-source project does not mean we shouldn't do promotion. Spreading the word and make sure more and more developers come and use Pizzly is really important to keep the project alive.

It's also fun to do (even if it takes lots of time). Hope you will enjoy looking at Pizzly and please show us some love.

October 21, 2020 450 Stars on GitHub

That's +200% from last update made last month. The reason of such a spike is simple: Pizzly got featured in TLDR a massive newsletter for developers.

It's definitely a great channel to get traction. There are over 118 000 readers on that newsletter.

I don't know how much have clicked the link to the GitHub repository, but about 300 of them have starred the repo. That's a 0.25% conversion rate ๐Ÿคฏ

September 14, 2020 100 Stars on GitHub

Pizzly, the open-source project around API Integrations, has reached 100 stars on Pizzly. It's a developer tool to help with API Integrations (e.g. connecting to Google Sheets, Airtable, Typeform, etc.).

I'm getting more and more pull requests on the repo, with someone who has just added Spotify to the list of 50+ APIs supported.

I'm really excited by this project and the developers I'm connecting to! There are no plan to get any revenue from the project FYI. It's supported by a VC-funded startup, Bearer.sh.

August 31, 2020 80 stars

Pizzly just reached 80 stars on GitHub. That's the north-star metric I'm monitoring as it's supposed to reflect both the visibility of the project amongst web developers as well as the minimal engagement.

The promotion of Pizzly is mostly made through articles on different websites, such as this one that I've just published yesterday - https://dev.to/frenchcooc/how-to-make-api-calls-in-react-g1e

March 28, 2020 Release MVP

It took nearly 1 month to migrate the old codebase from Bearer.sh to Pizzly. It's all Node.js and some SQL queries, but it's really exhausting to review, rewrite and make code your own way.

I believe it's even longer to adapt code than re-start from scratch. But I'm proud I manage to avoid rebuilding everything.

Pizzly is now ready and here to power up your API integrations ๐ŸŽ‰
