Today I woke up to an email notification that another subscription has been created, taking the number of paying users up to 25! It blows my mind that people are paying for a product I made. What an incredible feeling.
Most users so far have found us through Twitter, Google search, or Indie Hackers. I'm working hard on figuring out how to get from 25 to 50 in the next months 🔥
That's sick!! 🔥🔥🔥
Are you in touch with all the 25 users? I think that's probably your best shot. Get on the phone/DM with them and figure everything out about why they've signed up, whether they recommend it, and where you could find similar users.
Thanks!
This is a good point. I've found that when I ask for advice, people are willing and eager to help out :) So far I've probably talked to half of the users over email but you're right, I should do it more
That's insane. I use plausible everyday for https://trackmylift.app stats. I'm gonna be signing up for a subscription in a few weeks.
I'm a paying user, using it on Pingly.com 🙌
I migrated from Google Analytics and enjoy the clean UI and simpleness. Good work @ukutaht
Awesome, thanks Noah!
Very awesome Uku! I am happy to be part of these users => https://plausible.io/gekri.com :D
Keep growing!
That's implausible!!! 😉
Product looks great! Just signed up.
Thanks! Let's keep in touch.
Love the landing page for Kuote by the way. Perfect example of "Show, don't tell" :)
When I was freelancing I used FreeAgent to send invoices. It was also used for accounting between myself and my accountant. I don't know how relevant this is (I'm sure you've thought about it) but are you planning to integrate with external accounting services or something like that in the future?
Cheers, yea I hate all the sites now with these illustrations, I just want to see the interface. The thing about Plausible that made me sign up was the live demo page, I'm not going to sign up without seeing the product and that converted me instantly. Yea I'm definitely going to integrate with the likes of Xero, FreeAgent etc to convert them into invoices if I get any traction off my MVP/Beta!
Well done!
Congrats! 🙌
Great job! 🔥 What have you found to be your biggest lesson?
Congrats on your product! It's looking really slick and I especially like the simplicity of the design.
Might give it a go myself soon.
Thanks!
Let me know if you have any questions :)
Congrats, Uku!! And thank for sharing how you're getting your customers!
Great looking site. Congratulation on pivoting to 25 subs. Keep us in a loop.
Are you directly competing with Google Analytics?
I am, although I would say most of my users had already made up their mind about avoiding Google before they found Plausible.
Do you have a way to drill down to individual viewer ‘stories’?
That’s one thing I’ve always wanted with integrity-driven analytics as it allows me to really understand the user experience of bouncers and purchasers.
Do you mean stuff like session recordings? I don't have any plans for that I'm afraid.
Nothing that involved, just more like having a view that shows the session timeline. User arrived, went to the about page 5 seconds later, went to pricing, clicked to learn more, then signed up (for example).
Ah yea that sounds cool. I'll have to think a bit about how it fits in with the privacy-first idea but it definitely sounds useful.
Well done slick looking site!
Love your logo and design of the site who gets the medal for that?
Also liked the use of Nolt, first time I came across it.
Thanks!
I've done my best on the design so far :) I'm a developer by trade so it's very difficult for me. I wrote a blog post about learning design: https://plausible.io/blog/learning-design-as-a-developer
Believe it or not, but the logo was designed by a company whose name I can't remember :D It was £50 for a simple logo with no revisions. I lost my old email account and the name of the company that did it along with my email history.
Congrats.
Maybe drop some links on Reddit - I think your user demographic is well represented there?
Just an idea...
Great job and very nice landing page, too.
Well done guys!
Well done! Product looks cool from demo.
I love your website - did you design this from a template etc?
Thanks!
The website is all custom. The only thing I'm using is TailwindCSS for some helpers.

Good question. I'm planning to open source the code and make some noise about that. Hopefully this will get some eyeballs and new customers.
In terms of the product, the main features I want to add are email reports and conversion tracking. These seem most important but the roadmap is fairly fluid as you can imagine :)
