After launching Pohi to a 200 person mailing list, Google had not yet verified our login screen. This seemed to turn away many influencers and they didn’t join on the first go-around, we only gathered 3 sign ups which is a shocking 1.5% conversion rate from an existing mailing list. An extreme failure in my book.
Pohi has now been verified by Google and trying to log in with a YouTube account doesn’t produce a huge warning message anymore. Now I just have to contact all the influencers one by one and invite them to sign up again. This is a huge setback but a valuable lesson.
