I learned to design from the internet, through the resources, blogs & newsletters shared by the good folks. Product Disrupt is my way of giving back to the community.

March 31, 2021 Best Ever Month in Revenue

Product Disrupt hit its new best this month in terms of revenue 🥳

Revenue: $476.6
Expense: $17
Subscribers: 3,813

This was made possible with the help of the 3 months sponsorship deal (6 issues) that I recently closed and some affiliate revenue from the website.

March 15, 2021 Sold 3 months sponsorship deal

I'm so glad to share that Product Disrupt newsletter has sold out the sponsorships for the next 3 months.

It's the first time that I've sold 3 months (6 issues) sponsorship deal to a single sponsor. I usually manage to sell a single issue or 2 issue deals.

Full disclosure:
6 issues
3 months
$1200

It was quite a surprising deal in the sense that I didn't do anything different this time around. I just think it's a matter of finding the right fit and a bit of luck.

I reached out to the sponsor after a friend brought to my notice that they've already sponsored a few other similar newsletters. It was clear that they were looking to reach the product & design audience. And so there seemed like a natural fit for Product Disrupt.

We managed to close the deal by exchanging only a few emails.

July 18, 2020 Got featured in First 1000 newsletter

First 1000 is a weekly newsletter by Ali Abouelatta that does a deep dive into how founders got their first 1000 customers. With their back against the wall and very little amount of funding, it is always interesting to learn how they managed to get their companies off the ground to become a tech behemoth.

The insights shared there are quite interesting and valuable. It's also been recommended by Guy Kawasaki.

I'm very thankful to Ali for giving Product Disrupt a very generous shoutout in his newsletter issue where he covered how Linear got it's first 1000 customers.

May 25, 2020 The importance of side-projects

I contributed to Wrong Project which is a website with bite-sized think pieces by creators you’ve probably heard of.

Product Disrupt is my side-project and I've been working on it for over 3+ years now.

It has enabled me to connect with people that I wouldn't otherwise have an opportunity to connect with. It has also opened up a world of possibilities that I didn't even think was possible.

Here I've shared my opinion about why I think side-projects are important 👇
